Time - Life, Literacy Now Program

Outstanding support material for t he mentor. Emphasis on reading. Meets every Thursday at 3.45 at the Time Building, Sixth Avenue &48th Street. (Limited to Time employoees)

NYC -1:  Sponsored by the Anthony Robbins Foundation

Meets one Saturday morning per month at LaSalle Academy. Uses the mentoring materials and modules developed by Anthony Robbins Fdn. (Limited volunteer need)

NYC-2:  Sponsored by the Anthony Robbins Foundation

Meets twice a month after school. Program limited to students presently studying at Freedom Academy (Downtown Brooklyn). Limited volunteer need.

SAT Mentoring

SAT Prep programs are conducted in the fall and the spring each year. Volunteers must be able to attend the SAT prep sessions, and we will gladly assist them by partnering them with a student who is need of additional support. Schedules and commitments can vary. Locations are throughout the city.

Since Communities in Schools works closely with many other mentoring programs in NYC, if we are unable to utilize your services, we will be very happy to refer any qualified applicant to another mentoring program. Due to a wide variety of potential locations, schedules and programs, volunteers should identify as many interests as possible when they are applying for positions.
